Knowing Emmanuel

Emmanuel is not doctrine but a living Person with me

Pause several times a day to acknowledge: “Lord, You are here.”

Revaluing the Lord’s Presence

The Lord’s help ≠ the Lord’s presence

Before any decision, check if you have the Lord’s presence and peace

Turning to the Spirit Within

Today Emmanuel is in my spirit

Call on the Lord’s name often; turn from the mind to the spirit

Not I, but Christ lives in me

Before speaking or acting, inwardly ask: “Lord, what do You think?”

The Lord’s presence is the ruling principle

Identify things that rob the Lord’s presence and avoid them

Experiencing Emmanuel in the Meetings

The Lord’s presence in the Body

Pray before meetings; exercise your spirit in the meetings

Living the Corporate Emmanuel

I am part of the great Emmanuel

View people, matters, and the church with a Body-consciousness

“Lord, make me an outlet of Your presence.”

Key Burdens —Summary:

1.      Emmanuel is a Person, not a feeling.

2.      The presence is the standard, not success or result.

3.      To live in the spirit is to live in Emmanuel.

4.      Living with Christ is the normal Christian life.

5.      The Lord’s presence is more precious than His help.
