Aspect

The Church in the Processed Triune God

Meaning

The church is not merely “in God,” but in the processed Triune God. The Triune God passed through incarnation, human living, crucifixion, and resurrection, and was consummated as the life-giving Spirit to indwell the believers, so that the church may exist and live Him out.

Reason

1. The Bible never says the church is only “in God”; rather, it reveals that the church is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thes. 1:1; 2 Cor. 13:14).
2. In Genesis 1, God had not yet gone through the process, but in the New Testament He became the processed Triune God (John 7:37–39; Phil. 1:19).
3. The “process” refers to God’s steps in His economy: incarnation, human living, crucifixion, and resurrection.

Effect

1. Crucifixion: accomplished redemption, terminated the old creation, abolished Satan and death (Eph. 1:7; Rom. 6:6; Heb. 2:14).
2. Resurrection: brought forth the new creation, the beginning of new life (2 Cor. 5:17).
3. Life-giving Spirit: consummation of the Triune God to be imparted into us (1 Cor. 15:45b; 2 Cor. 3:17).

Examples

1. Believers experience the indwelling Spirit by calling on the name of the Lord (Rom. 10:12–13; Acts 2:21).
2. The church gathers not only in an “objective God” but in the experiential reality of the Father, Son, and Spirit (John 14:20).
3. Paul ministered not by his own strength but in the life-giving Spirit (2 Cor. 3:6).

Application

1. In church life, we should not only know God objectively but also experience the dispensing and presence of the processed Triune God.
2. Our living, thinking, action, and service must be in the reality of the Father, Son, and Spirit as one (John 14:16–17, 20).
3. Seeing the vision of the church in the Triune God governs our life and service (Prov. 29:18; Acts 26:19).

 Conclusion:

The church exists in the processed Triune God—the Father, the Son, and the Spirit—who is consummated as the life-giving Spirit. Seeing and experiencing this vision will completely change the reality of our life, service, and church.
