Experiencing and Enjoying Christ as the Bread of Life

hungry, and whoever believes in me will never
be thirsty.'" (John 6:35)
"Whoever eats my flesh and drinks
my blood remains in me, and I in them."
(John 6:56)
"Just as the living
Father sent me and I live because of the Father,
so the one who feeds on me will live because of me."

Reason |
Everyone is
spiritually hungry and needs Christ as the bread of life |
Necessity |
We need to contact Christ daily, and receive
nourishment from Him, accept, digest,
experience, enjoy, and apply Him |
Explanation |
1.
Christ is not only our life but
also our daily life supply, our food (John
6:35,48 2.
Eating the Lord is not a once-for-all matter, but requires
daily and even moment-by-moment closeness to Him (John 6:50) 3.
We need to exercise our spirit to be nourished
by Christ as the Word and the Spirit, to receive Him
into us, to digest, experience, and apply Him
(John 6:56-57) |
Application |
1. We must forget our own works and simply learn to eat Christ and live by the Christ we eat 2. We should apply Christ as the bread of life in our daily
living at all times |
