The Only Life That Pleases God vs. The Life Christ Lived on Earth
John 4:34 Jesus said to them,
“My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his works.”
John 5:30 “I can do
nothing of my own accord. As I hear, so I judge, and
my judgment is just, for I do not seek my own will but that of him who sent me.”
John 8:28 Therefore Jesus said
to them, “After you have lifted up the Son of Man, you will know who I am and
what I do not do of my own accord. I say these things as the Father taught me.”
John 8:29 “He who sent me is
with me; he has not abandoned me alone, for I
continue to do what pleases him.”
John 14:9 Jesus said to him,
“Philip, do you not know me, even though I have
been with you for so long? Anyone who has seen
me has seen the Father. How do you say, ‘Show the Father to us’?”
John 14:10 “Don’t you believe
that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak to you are
not my own; it is the Father, who dwells in me, doing
his own work.”

Spiritual
Formula
Christ as the
Burnt Offering +
Union with Christ + The Indwelling Spirit + Living Christ Daily = The
Only Life That Pleases God = God's Satisfaction
= The Building Up of the Body of Christ
= The New Jerusalem
Spiritual
Vision
- God desires Christ's living, not
merely man's
good behavior.
- The Burnt
Offering is primarily for God's
satisfaction, not merely for redemption.
- The laying on of
hands signifies organic union,
not merely substitution.
- Christ does not
merely
become our example; He becomes our
living.
- Pleasing God is
Christ being lived out in us.
- The church is the
corporate expression of the Burnt Offering life.
Ultimate
Conclusion
The life Christ
lived on earth is the reality of the Burnt Offering—a life absolutely for God,
wholly one with God, and
entirely for God's satisfaction. Today, believers experience this life by being
organically united with Christ. As Christ lives again in them, they do not
merely imitate Him but become His continuation on
earth. This alone is the life that pleases God, satisfies His heart, builds up
the Body of Christ, and ultimately consummates
in the New Jerusalem.
