Summary

The God-man living of the Lord Jesus in the Four Gospels is not merely a moral example but the divine prototype in God's eternal economy. Through His death and resurrection, Christ became the life-giving Spirit to impart Himself into His believers. As they live by the mingled spirit according to "the reality which is in Jesus," they are transformed into His image and become His mass reproduction. Individually they live the God-man life; corporately they become the one new man, expressing Christ in the Body. Thus, the life revealed in the Gospels continues in the church and reaches its ultimate consummation in the New Jerusalem as the eternal corporate expression of the processed and consummated Triune God.
