The Light of Life vs. Everything in Order

John 1:4 – “In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.”
Ephesians 1:10 – “To head up all things in Christ, the things in the heavens and the things on the earth.” 

Aspect	The Light of Life	Everything in Order
Meaning	The shining that issues from God’s life itself; the expression and manifestation of life	All things being adjusted, positioned, and established under one Head through the light
Reason	Life is in Christ, and life spontaneously produces light	When light comes, darkness and confusion are removed, and order is restored
Illustration	A lamp with oil: when the oil burns, it gives light	A city with light has order; without light there is chaos
Effect	Regulates, governs, and guides people inwardly	Causes people, the church, and all things to stand firm and orderly
Explanation	Wherever life is, light is also; light is not outward teaching but the result of life	Order is not maintained by regulations but is the spontaneous outcome of light

Example	The New Jerusalem is full of the light of God and the Lamb, needing no sun	In the new heaven and new earth there is no night, death, or confusion—only order
Application	Seek the dispensing of life rather than outward right and wrong	Live in the light in the church life to bring in oneness and order
Burden	Allow life to operate freely within us to become shining light	Reject outward control and allow light to bring in the headship of Christ
Prophesying Guidance	Speak concerning how life becomes light within us to enlighten and guide	Speak concerning how light brings us under Christ as the one Head
Conclusion	The ultimate issue of life is light	The ultimate expression of light is universal order under Christ
