Shining Living Stars vs. Wandering Stars
Daniel 12:3 The wise will
shine like the glory of the heavens; he who leads many to righteousness will
shine like the stars forever and ever.
Genesis 22:17 As for blessings
I will bless you; as for multiplication I will make your offspring as the stars
in the sky and as the sand on the seashore; your offspring will possess
the gates of their enemies.
Matthew 13:43 Then the
righteous will shine like the sun in their Father’s kingdom. He who has ears to
hear, let him hear.
Jude 12 Such people are a reef at your love feasts, fearless as
they eat with you; they are shepherds who feed only themselves; clouds without
rain, blown about by the wind; trees in autumn without fruit, dead and dead
again, uprooted;
Jude 13 They are the raging waves of the sea, bubbling up their shameful foam; wandering stars, for whom darkness and darkness are reserved forever.

Aspect |
Shining Living Stars |
Wandering Stars |
|
Meaning |
Faithful
followers of Christ who follow Christ as the shining living Star and become His reproduction for God’s economy |
Apostate, unstable ones who appear to shine but
actually mislead |
|
Cause |
Following
Christ as the heavenly, living, present, and instant vision |
Not established in the unchanging heavenly revelation and truth |
|
Distinction |
Have a definite
position, way, and orbit; genuine and stable light |
No fixed position or way; deceptive and drifting
light |
|
Metaphor |
Stars with
fixed orbits; the morning star; the sun |
Shooting stars; drifting stars without position |
|
Explanation |
Stars rule by
shining; where there is shining, there is God’s authority and life growth |
Drifting indicates the absence of divine ruling |
|
Relation to Christ |
Follow Christ
as the Morning Star, allowing Him to rise daily in their hearts |
Do not follow Christ’s present appearing, but human
opinions or methods |
|
Relation to the Word |
Heed the
prophetic word as a lamp shining in a dark place |
Interpret Scripture by self-made light or private
ideas |
|
Morning Principle |
Rise early to
meet the Lord and enjoy Him as the Morning Star |
Lack a morning-star life; act in darkness |
|
Spiritual Condition |
Filled with the
sevenfold intensified Spirit for God’s building |
Spiritually dry, like clouds without rain |
|
Function/Ministry |
Messengers of
the churches, dispensing fresh and present Christ |
Feed themselves only and become hidden reefs |
|
Spiritual Warfare |
Set great
resolutions and fight with God from their orbit |
Do not stand with God against the enemy |
|
In Darkness |
Fear Jehovah and trust Him, having light even in darkness |
Make their own light and walk in it |
|
Result (Now) |
Turn many to
righteousness and the proper way |
Cause confusion and lead people astray |
|
Result (Coming Age) |
Shine like the
sun in the kingdom of their Father |
Reserved for eternal gloom of darkness |
|
Relation to Local Churches |
Are in and with the local churches, leading people to Jesus |
Lead people away from the local
churches |
|
Examples |
The magi
following the star; living stars in local churches |
Fruitless trees and wandering stars (Jude) |
|
Application |
Follow living
stars and become one; stand on the proper ground |
Neither follow nor become wandering stars |
|
Burden |
Shine, rule,
build, and fight for God in a dark age |
Be warned against deviation and confusion |
|
Prophesying Guide |
Exalt Christ,
the Body, the church, the kingdom, and the morning-star life |
Expose false light, false ways, and false supply |
|
Conclusion |
Stars today,
the sun in the kingdom |
Drifting now, eternal darkness later |

In summary:
A true star is
one that steadfastly follows Christ, the morning star, standing firmly on the
right ground of the local church, leading many to righteousness; a wandering star, though seemingly shining, has no orbit, no foundation,
and will ultimately fall into darkness.
