Life Progress Teaching Chart: “Companions → Bride”

Matt. 9:15 – “Can the sons of the bridechamber mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them?”

Matt. 25:1–4 – “Ten virgins…went out to meet the bridegroom…took oil in their vessels.”

Phil. 2:12 – “Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”

Rev. 19:7–9 – “The marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready…Blessed are those invited to the marriage dinner of the Lamb.” 

Aspect	Life Progress: “Companions → Bride”
Theme	The life progression in God’s New Testament economy: from companions of the Bridegroom to the prepared Bride
Central Revelation	Christ first gains companions who enjoy His presence; eventually He gains a Bride who is mature, prepared, and matched with Him
Overall Meaning	Salvation is not only for forgiveness, but for life growth, transformation, and maturity unto the marriage of the Lamb
Life Stages (Content)	1. Companions – enjoying the Bridegroom’s presence 2. Followers – living in joy, not religion 3. Objects of Love – entering loving fellowship 4. Virgins – watchful, with lamps and oil 5. Overcomers – matured in life, clothed in fine linen 6. Bride – fully prepared and matched with Christ 7. Wedding Feast – the joyful consummation
Spiritual Focus	Enjoyment → Transformation → Preparation → Maturity → Marriage
Core Points	1. Being a companion is the beginning, not the goal. 2. Enjoyment of Christ produces life transformation. 3. Preparation depends on the renewing and maturing of the soul. 4. Fine linen is not a gift, but the issue of a transformed life. 5. The Lord’s coming depends on the Bride being ready.
Spiritual Burden	To turn believers from outward religion to inward enjoyment, and from mere salvation to life maturity for the Bride
Application	Daily enjoy Christ as the Bridegroom, allow Him to transform the soul, live watchfully, and cooperate with His preparing work
Conclusion	Matthew shows the Bridegroom gaining companions;  Revelation shows the Bridegroom receiving the Bride.  Our present living is the process between these two revelations.
