Preserving Our Body in Sanctification
Romans
12:1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in
view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and
pleasing to God—this is your reasonable worship.
Romans
12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but
be transformed by the renewal of your mind. Then
you will be able to discern what is that good and acceptable and perfect will
of God.

his body in holiness (Gen. 39:7-12). |

Core
Point:
Preserving the body in
sanctification is not
self-discipline but a life of
consecration, rejecting sin, and cooperating with the
Holy Spirit.
Conclusion:
Our body, once the body of sin, can
now be kept holy for God’s purpose, becoming a living sacrifice for the church
life and the fulfillment of God’s will.
