Transformation
unto Maturity VS Growth unto Perfection
Hebrews 6:1 Therefore, having departed from the
beginnings concerning Christ, let us press on to
perfection and maturity, no longer laying the foundation of repentance
from dead works and faith in God.
Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may
prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Philippians 3:12 Not that I have already obtained it,
or am already perfect, but I press on to take hold of
that which was taken hold of me by Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:13 Brothers, I do not consider myself to
have taken hold of it, but this one thing I do,
forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what is ahead.
Philippians 3:14 I press on
toward the goal for the prize of the upward calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Summary:
l Transformation unto Maturity emphasizes the qualitative
change of life, which is the metabolic change of the divine life upon the
natural life until reaching the fullness of life.
l Growth unto Perfection emphasizes the quantitative increase of life, which
is the continuous expansion and development in
the divine life until reaching the measure of maturity.
Both complement each other:
Transformation provides the inner dynamic for maturity, while
growth provides the outward manifestation of maturity. The ultimate goal for
both is to reach the maturity of life, which is the
measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
