manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children
of God; and we are."

those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the

1 John 3:9: "Whoever has
been born of God does not sin, for His seed
remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he
has been born of God."

Aspect |
The Greatest Miracle in the
Universe: Man Born of God, Becoming Children of God |
Origin |
People are born
of God by receiving Jesus Christ and believing in His name, obtaining God's
life and nature, becoming God's children. This is the greatest miracle in the
universe, that sinners can be transformed into true children of God. |
What We Are |
We are God's
true children, not merely creatures, but having divine life and nature,
divine persons. |
What We Belong To |
We belong to
God's species, no longer belonging to the category of sinners or children of
the devil, but members of God's family. |
How We Become |
By believing in
the name of Jesus Christ, receiving Him as Savior, experiencing divine
regeneration, and receiving eternal life as the divine seed planted within
us. |
What We Have |
We have divine
life (eternal life), divine nature, the authority to be God's children, and
God's life as a seed. |
What We Can Do |
We can imitate
God, be perfect as our Father is perfect, and express God's life and nature. |
Examples |
1. Christians,
though born as sinners, become children of God through regeneration 2. Even in
weakness or backsliding, we remain God's children (identity unchanged) 3. The
regenerated person's life has divine qualities, different from the natural
person |
Applications |
1. Know and
live out the identity of God's children 2. Imitate God
in daily life 3. Pursue
growth in life, showing the characteristics of God's children 4. Understand
the dignity of our identity and no longer live in sin |
Relevant Scripture References |
Ephesians 5:1: "Be therefore imitators of God, as
beloved children." Matthew 5:48: "You therefore shall be perfect as your
heavenly Father is perfect." Romans 8:16: "The Spirit Himself witnesses with our
spirit that we are children of God." 1 John 5:11-13: "And this is the testimony, that God
gave to us eternal life and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has
the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.
I have written these things to you who believe into
the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life." |
Conclusion:
The core of this miracle
lies in God granting us the authority to become His
children, making us not merely creatures, but
true children possessing divine life and nature. We are no longer born
of blood and flesh, but born of God, having eternal
life as a divine seed within us. This enables us to imitate God, to be perfect as our heavenly Father is perfect,
and to express God's life and nature. This transformation from sinners to children of God is truly the greatest miracle in the
universe.
