The Spirit of Writing VS The Spirit of Life VS The Spirit of Ministry

2 Cor 3:6 "Who has also made us sufficient as ministers of a new covenant, ministers not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life."

2 Cor 3:8 "How shall the ministry of the Spirit not be more in glory?"

Phil 1:25 "And being confident of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy of the faith."

Using the Spirit of the living God as spiritual ink to write Christ into believers

• Making believers living letters of Christ

• Dispensing divine life

Distinction

Focuses on inscribing Christ, making people readable letters

Focuses on giving life, making people vital and energetic

Focuses on ministry and service, enabling people to gain Christ

Application

• Feeling alive under the Spirit's writing

• Letting others read Christ through us

• Gaining vitality through Bible reading and prayer

• Living and walking in divine life

• Exercising the spirit in prayer and calling

2 Cor 3:3 "You are shown to be a letter of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tablets of stone but in tablets of hearts of flesh."

Interrelationship:

1.      These three Spirits are essentially the same Holy Spirit with different functions and operations

2.      The Spirit of Writing inscribes Christ, the Spirit of Life makes it vital, and the Spirit of Ministry makes it practical

3.      The three work together complementarily:

o   Writing is the foundation

o   Life-giving is the vitality

o   Ministry is the practice

All three operations of the Spirit require believers to:

1.      Exercise their spirit

2.      Pray constantly

3.      Live in the divine life

4.      Serve and supply others
