Property VS Inheritance
Joshua
17:4 "They came to Eleazar the priest, Joshua son
of Nun, and the leaders and said, 'The Lord commanded Moses to give us an
inheritance among our relatives.' So Joshua gave them an inheritance among
their uncles, in accordance with the Lord's command."
Ephesians 1:11 "In him we
were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who
works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will."

Relevant Scriptures |
Joshua 17:4 "They came to Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the
leaders and said, 'The Lord commanded Moses to give us an inheritance among
our relatives.' So Joshua gave them an inheritance among their uncles, in
accordance with the Lord's command." |
Ephesians 1:14 "The Spirit is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until
the redemption of those who are God's possession—to the praise of his glory." Colossians 3:24
"since you know that you will receive an
inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." |
Mutual Inheritance Relationship:
The Bible reveals a wonderful concept of "mutual inheritance":
1. We are God's
inheritance
(Ephesians 1:11) - God has chosen and redeemed us,
placing His seal on us
2.
God is our inheritance (Ephesians 1:14) - We inherit
all that God is (His person) and all that He has (His work)
The Holy Spirit plays a crucial role in this mutual inheritance
relationship:
- As the seal,
marking us as God's inheritance
- As the pledge
(guarantee or sample), ensuring that we will fully inherit God as our
inheritance
